Workshops / Arts-in-Education Workshops with visiting artistes Sondra Fraleigh at Modern Dance thro' Technique & Choreography 
In February 2000, a 5-day workshop, "Somatics", was held in Chennai with this well-known speaker and author of dance books. "Somatics" originates from a Greek word meaning "Source, impulse or origin of movement". Arangham's professional dancers were made aware through a very subtle method, of the importance of warming up - how you mentally and emotionally get in touch with your body to get ready for dance. Arangham later organized a lecture "Dance and the Lived Body Experience" by Fraleigh in association with SAMUDRI, the archival wing of "Sruti" magazine at Chennai, to an audience of dance connoisseurs.
